Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool all avoid each other in FA Cup fifth round draw

The holders face Middlesbrough while Liverpool will meet Crystal Palace and Man United are away to Preston or Sheffield United if they both come through their replays.

THE DRAW FOR the fifth round of the FA Cup has been made this evening.

Holders Arsenal were paired with Championship club Middlesbrough, who upset the odds by knocking out Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.

League One outfit Bradford City have been rewarded for their heroic 4-2 victory over Chelsea with a home tie against the winner of Sunderland v Fulham, while there are all-Premier League affairs between Aston Villa and Leicester City and West Brom and West Ham.

Liverpool will face Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park if they can overcome Bolton Wanderers in their replay next Wednesday while Manchester United will make the trip to either Preston North End or Sheffield United — providing they can see off Cambridge United at Old Trafford in eight days’ time.

The fixtures are scheduled to be played over the weekend of 14 and 15 February.
