ATLETICO MADRID WERE at home to Celta Vigo in La Liga this evening and it proved a mixed night for Fernando Torres but a pretty good one for his employers.
After the visitors had taken an early lead, the 32-year-old Atleti striker showed tremendous improvisation to find the back of the net with a wonderful overhead kick on 11 minutes.
However, the former Liverpool and Chelsea man also hit the crossbar with a penalty kick in the first half.
Celta looked like they had the win in the bag when John Guidetti put them back in front 12 minutes from time but that’s when the real drama began.
Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco levelled again on 86 minutes before Antoine Griezmann completed the magnificent comeback by grabbing the winner two minutes later.
The result moves Diego Simeone’s team to fourth, seven points behind leaders Real Madrid having played two games more.
