The wonderful pass from Brice Dulin; the draw and give by Dimitri Swarzewski and the magnificent dummy and finish from 19-year-old Gaël Fickou. France’s winning try in Paris had it all. England were left in dismay as they coughed up the lead with just three minutes left.

Fickou has been in strong form for Toulouse this season, but this try is likely to see his international rise greatly accelerated. Having replaced Mathieu Bastareaud – who was excellent at the breakdown – the former Toulon centre made the most decisive contribution of a thrilling clash at the Stade de France to win the game for Philippe Saint-André’s side.
