Could a yellow card in football result in a ten minute trip to the sin bin? INPHO/Lorraine O'Sullivan
experiment

POLL: Are sin bins in football a good idea?

FIFA are considering bringing in the concept.

FOOTBALL’S RULEMAKERS ARE set to hold preliminary discussions at its next meeting on the use of sin bins and video replays to help referees, FIFA announced on Monday.

Both proposals are included for discussion when the International Football Association Board (IFAB) meet next but are still some way off being introduced.

However, we want to know if you think sin bins in football are a good idea. Rugby has had them for over a decade and most within the game believe they work well but the GAA abandoned the concept after just a year following an experiment in the middle of the last decade.

So, what we want to know today is, do you think sin bins in football are a good idea?
