LIMERICK AND TIPPERARY will fire the first rounds in this year’s Munster football championship in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday evening.
The Tipperary hurlers are also in action on Sunday as they take on reigning champions Limerick in Semple Stadium. A second chance for bragging rights between the counties in as many days.
Elsewhere in Leinster the knockout stages of the hurling championship commences as Wexford meet Antrim, and Galway travel to Laois.
There’s also Ulster football action in Enniskillen where Fermanagh face Antrim, with Donegal awaiting the winner in the provincial semi-final.
The Christy Ring cup continues, while there’s also games in the Leinster and Munster junior football championships, the Munster intermediate hurling championship, the U21 Munster hurling championship and the Ulster minor football championship.
