Game on: Limerick FC set to play Liverpool in May friendly

The club will play host to Kenny Dalglish’s men for the first time since 1962.

LIVERPOOL WILL PLAY Limerick FC in a friendly on May 14, a spokesperson for the club has confirmed to TheScore.ie today.

The game will kick off at 7.45pm in Jackman Park, with Liverpool expected to field a weakened side owing to their Premier League commitments – the club play Swansea in their final game of the season on the day before their Limerick trip.

However, manager Kenny Dalglish is expected to be present on the night.

Fans will be hoping for a similarly entertaining affair to when Liverpool travelled to Limerick in 1962, ultimately winning 5-3.

Tickets are set to go on sale this Wednesday, and are priced at €15 (stand), €10 (terrace), €8 (student/OAP) and €5 (U16).

They can be bought from the official store, while more information can be provided by contacting the club at (061) 324563.
