Hummels heads Germany to quarter-final victory over Les Bleus in Rio

The defender nodded home a 13th minute goal from Toni Kroos’ free-kick.

GERMANY WERE 1-0 winners in their World Cup quarter-final against France at the Estádio Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, thanks to a header from Mats Hummels.

The Borrusia Dortmund defender calmly nodded home after getting the better of les Bleus’ Raphaël Varane in the air in the 13th minute. Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos provided the assist with an inswinging free-kick.
