Roma continue pursuit of Mahrez, PSG willing to offload Veratti and all of today's transfer gossip

Leicester are holding out for an offer of £50 million for the Algerian winger.

The day was dominated by the potential transfer of Kylian Mbappé from Monaco to Real Madrid.

Spanish newspaper Marca sent the transfer market into meltdown earlier today, reporting that Madrid had agreed a record-breaking €180 million deal for the 18-year-old.

Elsewhere Roma are still in pursuit of Riyad Mahrez. The Serie A club have already put in a £30 million bid for the Leicester forward.

However the Daily Mail report that the Foxes are holding out for a fee of £50 million for the 2016 PFAI Player of the Year.

Everton are still keen on Gylfi Sigurdsson despite having a second bid worth £45 million rejected by Swansea, according to The Independent.

The Welsh club are holding out for £50 million for their Icelandic playmaker and are confident the Merseysiders will pay it, as they look to break into the top four next season.

Diario Gol report that PSG are willing to include Marco Verratti in a deal which would see Neymar move to the Parc des Princes, along with a €90 million transfer fee.

Barcelona have long been admirers of the Italian and see him as a pillar in their midfield for years to come, however are reluctant to let their Brazilian forward leave at any price.

Finally, according to Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti, Manchester United could sign Renato Sanches.

The Independent report that there is “a possibility” the 19-year-old could sign for Jose Mourinho.

On this day in 1997 Celtic bought Henrik Larsson from Feyenoord for a fee of £650,000.

The striker won four Scottish Premier Leagues, two Scottish Cups, two League Cups and helped the Glasgow club to runners’ up in the 2003 Uefa Cup during seven seasons at Park Head.

Larsson would score 242 goals in 313 appearances for the Hoops, forging his name eternally as one of Celtic’s greatest ever players.
