Harinordoquy leaves Eddie O'Sullivan and Biarritz for a final season with Toulouse

The number eight has chosen one last year in the Top 14 over a season in Pro Div 2.

ICONIC FRENCH NUMBER eight Imanol Harinordoquy is leaving relegated Biarritz for Toulouse, he announced on his Twitter account yesterday.

Harinordoquy, 34, who has spent the past 10 years with the Basque club and helped them to two Top 14 titles and two European Cup finals, has signed a one-year contract which he hinted would be his last with the words  ’ a great challenge for the end of my sporting career’.

Capped 82 times by France but plagued by a recurring knee injury over the past two seasons, Harinordoquy is Toulouse’s fifth capture of the close season along with Toby Flood (Leicester), Corey Flynn (Crusaders), Alexis Palisson (Toulon) and Neemia Tialata (Bayonne).
