IRELAND SUFFERED A disappointing 3-1 loss to Mexico in New Jersey on Thursday night.
A fine finish by substitute Stephen Gleeson in the 76th minute was as good as it got for a sub-par Irish side.
Goals from Jesus Corona, Raul Jimenez and Carlos Vela ultimately handed the Mexicans a well-deserved win.
