Your Katie Taylor Dog Food Image of the Day

Ireland’s gold medal hope gets in the ring with a couple of dogs. No biggie.

THIS MORNING, Katie Taylor was assured of her spot at the London Olympics this summer, when she was awarded a walkover at the world championships in China.

The reigning world champion was pencilled in to fight Michaela Lacatus in the quarter-finals at 8am but learned that she wouldn’t have to pull on her gloves because of a neck injury the Romanian had failed to shake off.

More importantly, this evening these pictures dropped into our inbox from dog food company Gain.

“A self-confessed dog lover, Katie is regularly seen training with her dogs along Bray pier,” the accompanying release reads. “Katie’’s dogs have all been named after famous boxers, and she says Marvin Hagler, her 10-year-old Bullmastiff, is a big fan of GAIN AllDogs Senior.”

And we thought she’d have a Boxer, etc and so on.
