Hockey players knock lumps out of each other for a full minute... then high five

These guys actually seem to enjoy getting punched repeatedly in the face.

THIS AIN’T YOUR average hockey fight.

We’ve seen plenty of fists fly on the ice over the years, but this is an incredible bout for different reasons.

If ever you could argue that ice hockey has an endemic problem with violence then it can come after this clip of  Joel Theriault and Gaby Roch taking lumps out of each other.

Playing in a Quebec semi-pro league, Roch and the one-time NHL prospect Thierault feel little need to defend themselves. Instead they consider offence the best defence and just let the punches fly. Very cavalier.

If you can’t stand the bare-knuckle brawl, skip forward to 1:15 for the bro-tastic finale. Only a high five could possibly convey the mutual respect these eejits have for each other.
