An estimated 100,000 people gathered in Belgrade last night for Novak Djokovic’s homecoming party.

WHEN NOVAK DJOKOVIC returned home to Belgrade last night, the Serbian public made sure that he got a welcome befitting of a Wimbledon Champion and a world number one.

An estimated 100,000 gathered in front of the Serbian parliament, decked out in the country’s national colours and waving flags to celebrate their hero’s victory at SW19.

“This is absolutely unbelievable and I owe all of you eternal gratitude for this reception,” the 24-year-old told the massive crowd who had enjoyed rock bands and a party atmosphere as they waited for the champion’s arrival.

‘The time has come to bare all my emotions to you and all I can say is that you are the best in the world because only Serbian fans can throw a party like this.”

You have made the happiest day of my life even better and I dedicate this trophy to you.

Check out some of the best photos from the celebration. It must be said, it looks like quite a party …
