THE ULSTER GAA Competitions Control Committee will launch a formal investigation into claims Aaron Cunningham was racially abused during last Sunday’s Senior Football Championship final, it has been confirmed.

The announcement was made following a meeting between officials last night, where it was decided that an investigation would be launched, and based around the contents of the referee’s report from the game.

A group has been set up to look into the incident, though a date for the verdict has yet to be confirmed.

Ulster GAA have said they won’t be commenting any further on the matter until the issue is resolved.
