Ireland to face Scotland in opener as 2019 Rugby World Cup schedule and venues announced

Ireland face hosts Japan in the second game.

IRELAND WILL OPEN their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign with a tie against Scotland at the International Stadium in Yokohama, Japan on 22 September.

World Rugby have confirmed the schedule and venues for the upcoming tournament, which will be held in Japan in less than two years’ time.

Ireland will play the hosts on 28 September in Shizuoka, before taking on a European qualifer in Kobe on 3 October and a play-off winner in Fukuoka on 12 October.

  • Ireland v Scotland, Sunday 22 September, International Stadium, Yokohama, 7.45am (Irish time)
  • Ireland v Japan, Saturday 28 September, Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA, Shizuoka Prefecture, 7.15am (Irish time)
  • Ireland v Europe 1, Thursday 3 October, Kobe Misaki Stadium, Kobe, 10.15am (Irish time)
