'They'll look back and say 'Jesus, my da was crazy!" - The story behind Ireland fan 'The Hulk'

Clondalkin man Shane Peppard goes to extremes to support the Boys in Green.

“IT’S ABOUT MAKING memories for my children,” says Shane Peppard. “They’ll look back and say ‘Jesus, my da was crazy!”

Anyone who has attended an Ireland international football match at the Aviva Stadium in recent times is likely to have spotted a tricolour wig-wearing Incredible Hulk look-a-like alongside a considerably smaller version.

For the qualifier with Poland back in March 2015, the Dubliner and his son painted themselves green and headed along to support Martin O’Neill’s team — and they’ve been doing it ever since.

Shane even travelled to Euro 2016 in fancy dress, as he explains in this video from Three’s #TheCallUp campaign.
