IT CAN’T BE easy to grow up in the shadow of Australian rugby sensation Israel Folau, but his 19-year-old brother John is making a good fist of it.

Weighing in at an impressive 109kg, John Folau is enjoying an ever-improving reputation with the Parramatta Eels’ U20 side, for whom he made this powerful hit against the Newcastle Knights in the Holden Cup.

The younger Folau is a winger or centre in the league code, and it remains to be seen if his athletic potential can push him to higher levels of the game.
