Grants Debate

Here's how Twitter reacted to Jerry Kiernan's interview last night

The former Irish athlete has provoked a strong reaction from his views on the payment of grants to inter-county players.

JERRY KIERNAN’S REVELATION last night that he believes GAA players do not train hard enough to warrant grants has generated a huge response.

The former Irish athlete expressed his views when speaking on Newstalk’s Off The Ball programme.

When contacted by TheScore.ie today, the Gaelic Players Association declined to respond to Kiernan’s comments.

But several GAA players have taken to Twitter to express their passionate views on the subject.
