JOE CANNING MAY have smashed his finger playing for Galway last weekend but he’s not lost his touch on social media.

The Portumna hitman has posted an X-ray snap of his damaged digit on his Instagram account with the message: ‘I’ve a bone to pick with you nidgey.’

Canning is facing six weeks on the sidelines after he picked up the injury against Offaly in the Tribesmen’s Bord na Mona Walsh Cup win.

Canning’s clever post referred to the bone kept by Love/Hate character Fran as a souvenir from the brutal slaying of IRA chief Git during the blockbuster TV series.
