John Aldridge urges Robbie Keane to get out of Tottenham

Match-fitness the priority warns former Liverpool striker.

IRELAND LEGEND JOHN Aldridge says Robbie Keane needs to leave White Hart Lane in January – even if he has to drop a division.

The Scouser once wore the famous red of Liverpool but spent later happy years on the other side of Merseyside – and not with Everton.

The Irish Daily Star reports that Aldridge said:

[I]t didn’t do me any harm when I was at Tranmere.

You have you match fitness and [the Championship] is a good standard. Robbie is a fighter. Tottenham have got an excellent squad. Defoe has been out and he’s not getting a game. That tells you has no chance.

He has got to move on in January and he has got to be playing.

He knows what he’s talking about:

How did I forget to include Aldo in either of our two Movember galleries by the way? They’re here and here.
