Even when Cesc Fabregas hits the ball terribly, he's still hard to fault

He provided one assist for John Terry and one very fortunate scuff tonight.

CHELSEA WASTED NO time getting in to the festive spirit tonight, taking little over a minute to open the scoring against Stoke with a trademark header from merry old JT.

The centre back powered his header downwards and beyond the keeper from Cesc Fabregas’ corner.

It threatened to be a long night for the Potters, but Chelsea made heavy work Mark Hughes’ side, and it was only this 78th minute scuff from Fabregas finally made the three points look secure.
