Here’s what not to do when you have the ball at the one yard line on third down.

WHEN YOU’RE THE underdog, and you find yourself in the lead, keep your head or keep it simple.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Jeff Tuel had his side on the one yard line with a 10 – 3 lead on third down. A good play (hey, maybe a run?) makes it 17 -3. Go safety first and it’ll be 13 -3 after a field goal.

Instead, Tuel gets caught between two stools and graciously allows Sean Smith take the interception and run all the way back for a touch down.

It ended 23 – 13 to the Chiefs.
