After Adrian Mariappa gave Crystal Palace a seventh minute lead in this evening’s London derby in the Premier League, this sumptuous volley brought Fulham level with Crystal Palace.

And the Cottagers have not stopped there, Steve Sidwell has given them a half-time lead with this volley. The angle isn’t quite as tough, but jeez it’s a hell of a volley.

After that, we were left with plain old ordinary goals. This one from Dimitar Berbatov made it 3 – 1 from Bryan Ruiz’ corner.
Ruiz also provided the ammo as Phillipe Senderos thumped in the third volley of the night, but this was not a perfect volley. This was an ugly goal in comparison to Fulham’s earlier efforts.
