Champions Crokes pitted against St Kieran's in 1st round of Kerry SFC

Last year’s losing finalists South Kerry will meet Kenmare Shamrocks first up.

BACK-TO-BACK Kerry county champions Dr Crokes will begin their title defence against St Kieran’s this year after the draw for the Kingdom’s Senior Football Championship was made this evening.

Austin Stacks will begin this campaign against Kenmare District, while last year’s beaten finalists South Kerry will face Kenmare Shamrocks.

East Kerry will await the outcome of the preliminary clash between St Brendan’s and West Kerry before their opponent is confirmed.

As has been the case since 2016, losing teams from the first round will clash with fellow early departures in the hope of playing their way back into the Championship.
