Bleedin' Rapid! Kevin Doyle scored a crucial away goal for Colorado last night

Rapids trail 2-1 after the first leg of the MLS Western Conference final.

KEVIN DOYLE KEPT Colorado’s hopes of reaching the MLS Cup final alive with a crucial away goal last night.

Doyle’s deflected shot opened the scoring after just 13 minutes of the Western Conference Championship final, but the Rapids lost the first leg against the Seattle Sounders 2-1.

Jordan Morris equalised for Seattle in the 19th minute before Nicolas Lodeiro’s penalty just after the hour mark ensured that they will take a slender lead to Colorado. The second leg takes place on Sunday.

In the Eastern Conference final first leg, Montreal Impact won a thrilling all-Canadian affair, beating Toronto FC 3-2.
