Here's why Lee Westwood's caddy needs to stick to carrying the clubs

The spotlight was on Mike Kerr at the Players Championship yesterday.

LEE WESTWOOD WILL be amongst the strong field in action today in the first round of the tournament that has been dubbed ‘the fifth major’ – the Players Championship at Sawgrass.

But the spotlight yesterday was not on Westwood and his golfing compatriots but on those who carry their bags as the annual caddie competition took place.

Westwood’s caddy Mike Kerr, a Zimbabwe native, was amongst those in action.

Yet somehow we think that Kerr will be sticking to carrying the clubs rather than swinging them this weekend.

Westwood tweeted the picture below yesterday with the heading ‘Why I hit the shots and Mike carries the bag!’
