AS IT HAPPENED

As it happened: CSKA v Man United, Anderlecht v Celtic, Champions League

It was another busy night of Champions League action.

Kick off for both games is 7.45pm.

We’re under way in Moscow…

CSKA 0-1 MAN UNITED (LUKAKU 4)

Lukaku keeps his remarkable scoring run going.

Martial delivers a lovely ball into the box for the striker to head home.

Just after United scored, De Gea was forced into an excellent save to deny Dzagoev.

CSKA aren’t giving up yet by any means.

United have continued to look strong since the goal.

They are controlling the play and dominating possession.

Mkhitaryan almost doubles United’s advantage.

He gets on the end of Blind’s cross and the midfielder’s first-time shot forces the hosts’ goalkeeper to get down well to make a save.

PENALTY TO MAN UNITED!

CSKA 0-2 MAN UNITED (MARTIAL 19)

Shchennikov makes a needless challenge on Mkhitaryan to give away the penalty.

Martial then coolly slots home the spot kick.

Still 0-0 between Anderlecht and Celtic with not much to report on.

For CSKA, Golovin’s pot shot drifts just wide, though De Gea seemed to have it covered anyway.

CSKA 0-3 MAN UNITED (LUKAKU 27)

Berezutski completely miskicks a Martial cross and Lukaku is on hand to tap home.

Dreadful defending from the hosts.

Trebel does well to stop Sinclair breaking down the wing.

Unlike the game in Moscow, the Anderlecht-Celtic match is fairly evenly fought so far.

Celtic have kept the ball pretty well, but aren’t creating chances.

Meanwhile, in Russia, De Gea does well to tip over Chalov’s attempt.

CELTIC 1-0 ANDERLECHT (GRIFFITHS 38)

Tierney bursts down the left.

The youngster’s cross is subsequently converted by Leigh Griffiths.

Meanwhile, elsewhere tonight…

HALF-TIME: CSKA 0-3 MAN UNITED

Half-time and United hold a comfortable, deserved lead.

CSKA have been woeful, but the visitors have capitalised with aplomb.

Things aren’t going well for Chelsea.

They’re 1-0 down against Atletico at half-time.

HALF-TIME: ANDERLECHT 0-1 CELTIC

In a somewhat surreal situation, RTÉ have George Hamilton on the phone due to an issue with the audio feed.

The second half has begun…

Golovin shoots just over from the edge of the box.

Decent start to the second half from CSKA.

Akinfeev makes an excellent save to stop a powerful Lukaku strike.

The Belgian international looks determined to get the hat-trick.

ANDERLECHT 0-2 CELTIC (ROBERTS 50)

Patrick Roberts finds space on the edge of the box.

The youngster’s shot hits the back of net via a deflection.

This would be just Celtic’s second ever away win the Champions League group stages.

The only one so far has been against Spartak Moscow five years ago.

MAN UNITED 4-0 CSKA (MKHITARYAN 57)

Martial’s initial shot is parried by the goalkeeper.

However, Mkhitaryan is on hand to slot home the rebound.

Lingard replaces Mkhitaryan.

Mourinho can now certainly afford to look ahead to the weekend.

As I type, Martial plays through Lingard, who almost has an instant impact, but Akinfeev saves the one on one.

Celtic are looking fairly comfortable at the moment, with Anderlecht struggling to create chances.

There’s around 25 minutes left in both games.

Morata has equalised for Chelsea against Atletico.

Meanwhile, Neymar has put PSG 3-0 ahead against Bayern.

Teodorczyk finds himself through on goal. However, he’s adjudged to be offside.

Meanwhile, the injured Scott Brown is replaced by Nir Bitton.

Celtic break and McGregor gets it on the edge of the box.

However, the Celtic man hesitates, allowing Anderlecht’s defence to get back and recover.

Celtic make a change. Patrick Roberts is replaced by James Forrest.

The Scottish side are seeing this game out nicely at the moment.

Meanwhile, it’s a stroll for United in Moscow, with the English side keeping possession comfortably.

Both teams know this game has been over for a while now.

Celtic have had 63% possession in this match.

It’s impressive, particularly when you consider they were associated with kick-and-rush football in Europe for so many years.

Anderlecht have had plenty of possession and territory in recent minutes.

However, they just can’t create genuine chances and look like they know they’re beaten.

CSKA 1-4 MAN UNITED (KUCHAEV 89)

Golovin and Kuchaev link up nicely, before the latter fires into the net.

It’s a mere consolation for the hosts.

FULL-TIME: MAN UNITED 4-1 CSKA

ANDERLECHT 0-3 CELTIC (SINCLAIR 90)

Sinclair sprints through on goal and finishes emphatically.

That’s his 10th of the season.

FULL-TIME: ANDERLECHT 0-3 CELTIC

Right, that’s all from me.
