Bad news for Conference side Macclesfield, who are behind to a Jord Gomez penalty.

The Gunners take the lead. Thomas Rosicky plays Lukas Podolski in a central area and he lays off the the French striker, whose finish from 20 yards is clinical.

Bolton fail to clear their lines and the South African midfielder reacts first to shoot past Andy Lonergan.

The Trotter pull one back through English striker Marvin Sordell, who firest plast Tim Howard from a Darren Pratley cross.

Brighton 1-1 Arsenal (Ashley Barnes)

After they have an equaliser ruled out for offside, the Seagulls level terms through Ashley Barnes. Arsenal stopper Wojciech Szczesny is caught in no man’s  land and the striker heads home.

Brighton have lost their captain as Gordon Greer appears to have pulled a hamstring. Former UCD midfielder Gary Dicker is on in his place.

QPR 0-2 MK Dons (Ryan Lowe)

Upset, ahoy. QPR are two behind now after Anthony Kay sets up Ryan Lowe for a low finish beyond Rob Green.

GOAL! Reading 2-0 Sheffield United (Mikele Leigertwood)

That’s a smashing finish by Leigertwood, who finds the top corner from just outside the Blades’ box with five minutes remaining in the half.

GOAL! Derby County 0-1 Blackburn Rovers (Colin Kazim- Richards)

The Rams, who have recent Irish call-ups Richard Keogh, Jeff Hendrick and Conor Sammon in the their team, are behind to Rovers at Pride Park. Former Sheffield United and Fenerbahce winger Colin Kazim-Richard opens the scoring on the stroke of half-time.

The home side restore parity again and it’s a debut goal for Argentine striker Jose Loenardo Ulloa, signed recently from Almeria, whose header makes it 2-2.

Substitute Scott Rendall latches onto a ball from JJ O’Donnell to score what could turn out to be a huge goal for Luton Town.

Advantage Arsenal. A Wilshere corner comes out to Walcott, who puts it back in on the volley and the strike deflects into the net off Brighton defender Adam El-Abd.

First Jay Boothroyd pulls one back with his head, then on-loan Manchester United defender Fabio scores a second in the 90th minute.

GOAL! Middlebrough 1-1 Aldershot (Danny Hyton)

Lukas Jutkiewicz finds the back of the net for Boro but Aldershot equalise through Danny Hyton with a minute of normal time to play.

The Toffees snatch a late win from the unlikely source of Dutch defender Johnny Heitinga.
