Here are the teams…

Man United: Romero, Valencia, Bailly, Rojo, Shaw, Carrick, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Rashford, Ibrahimovic.

Subs: De Gea, Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, Young, Martial, Rooney.

Anderlecht: Martinez, Appiah, Kara, Spajic, Obradovic, Dendoncker, Tielemans, Acheampong, Chipciu, Hanni, Teodorczyk.

Subs: Boeckx, Deschacht, Bruno, Nuytinck, Capel, Kiese Thelin, Stanciu.

We’re underway…

Early chance for Man United.

Mkhitaryan plays through Lingard, but the latter’s cross is cut out.

Dendoncker is given far too much space by the United defence.

His pot shot goes narrowly over the bar, as the hosts get an early warning.

Great counter-attacking play from United.

Pogba picks out the onrushing Rashford.

The youngster’s initial cross is blocked, but he finds Mkhitaryan at the second attempt, and the Armenia international blasts the ball home from the edge of the box.

Pogba almost gets a second. His header from a corner is tipped over by Rubén.

Moments later, the Anderlecht stopper has to make a good save from Lingard’s shot.

This could get ugly for the visitors if they’re not careful.

Worrying scenes for United fans, as Marcos Rojo appears to be in some pain.

It looked an innocuous enough challenge from Chipciu.

Blind was warming up, but it looks like Rojo is going to be okay.

The defender has been very impressive this season, so that’s good news for the Red Devils.

Acheampong beats Rojo to the ball. He then runs through on goal, but finds the side-netting via a touch from Romero.

Rojo is now being replaced by Blind, with the Argentine international belatedly deciding he can’t play on.

Dendoncker has another shot from the edge of the box that goes just wide.

There have been a few encouraging moments for Anderlecht in this first half.

Shaw bursts down the left, but his cross narrowly misses Lingard.

Positive play from the youngster.

That has been coming.

Tielemans’ shot from the edge of the box deflects onto the crossbar, but the rebound falls to Hanni, who blasts the ball home.

Game on!

Pogba blasts an attempt from distance well over.

The France international has been caught out of position a few times, though he did have a hand in the goal, so it’s been a mixed night for him so far.

Pogba plays a lofted ball through to Shaw, whose shot is tame and straight at the goalkeeper.

It’s been a very entertaining, fast-paced first half.

Pogba bursts forward and plays it to Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian’s shot, however, goes well over. It was from a good distance out, so it was optimistic to think he could score from there.

Half chance for Anderlecht.

Tielemans beats Blind, before his pass deflects to Hanni, but the goalscorer miscontrols the ball as he tries to take it round Romero.

The visitors have looked increasingly confident as this half has wore on.

The second half has begun…

Tielemans plays an excellent long ball to Teodorczyk. The attacker’s shot is deflected just wide.

That’s another let off for United.

Shaw bursts down the left. The full-back’s cross narrowly misses Lingard.

That’s better from the hosts.

Chipciu’s cross finds Teodorczyk, but the latter’s header is straight at Romero.

Anderlecht continue to threaten in attack.

There’s loud boos around Old Trafford, as Lingard is replaced by Fellaini.

The home crowd has gotten increasingly frustrated as this game has wore on.

Fellaini’s influence is already being felt.

His header falls to Rashford, whose shot is deflected over.

Double change for Anderlecht.

Hanni and Chipciu come off and are replaced by Bruno and Stanciu.

Ibrahimovic’s header finds Rashford, and the youngster’s powerful shot from the edge of the area goes just wide.

United have started to play in a far more direct fashion in recent minutes.

Big chance! Appiah fails to deal with Mkhitaryan’s ball through. Rashford runs on to it and tries to take it round the keeper, but his touch is too heavy and the defender recovers.

That’s a bad miss by Rashford’s standards.

Fellaini gets his head to a cross, and the ball falls to Ibrahimovic.

Spajić makes a great block to deny him, however.

Moments later, Ibrahimovic goes down in the box, but it looked hopeful on the Swede’s part, and the referee waves play on.

United have looked increasingly dangerous going forward since Fellaini’s introduction.

That said, Anderlecht continue to look bright on the counter-attack.

Now it’s Anderlecht’s turn to appeal in vain for a penalty, as Acheampong goes down under a challenge from Blind.

On second look, Spajić got away with it down the other hand, as he had his arms around Ibrahimovic before the Swede went down.

Shortly thereafter, Pogba blasts Mkhiraryan’s corner over on the volley from close range.

This is a highly entertaining game.

Another change for Anderlecht.

Thelin replaces Teodorczyk.

Great play from Carrick, who plays through Ibrahimovic.

The Swede’s finish is uncharacteristically poor, however, as he slashes a shot wide.

Potentially bad news for Anderlecht and Acheampong, as the latter goes down holding his calf.

They’ve made all three substitutions.

Acheampong is back on.

He isn’t moving too comfortably at the moment though.

Ibrahimovic plays through Rashford, but the youngster can only find the side-netting.

Mourinho looks very frustrated on the touchline.

There will be two minutes of stoppage time…

Just before the final whistle, Ibrahimovic tried to control a long ball but fell awkwardly as he did so.

He’s in serious pain and looks unlikely to continue.

Martial has replaced the injured Ibrahimovic.

Rooney will therefore not feature tonight.

The first half of extra-time is underway…

Rashford crosses to Pogba.

The midfielder’s overhead kick is then blocked by Spajić, who has been magnificent tonight.

Obradović shoots just wide from the edge of the box.

Neither team is holding back despite penalties getting closer.

Rashford plays a free kick towards Fellaini, but Spajić does enough to put him off as the two challenge for the ball.

The Serbian defender has been the best player on the pitch tonight.

United continue to threaten. A Rashford shot from a Fellaini knockdown is blocked.

The Belgian international has been very influential since coming on.

United look the much stronger team now.

Anderlecht are really tiring and are struggling to cope with Fellaini’s aerial presence.

Anderlecht definitely have the look of a side who would settle for penalties.

Their attacking threat has been minimal of late.

The second half of extra-time is underway…

It’s a long punt upfield. Fellaini wins the header and Rashford finishes consummately.

It’s more than United deserve — they have been the far superior side since extra-time.

Mourinho has definitely been vindicated for introducing Fellaini.

The Belgian midfielder has been the game’s most influential player since coming on.

United are sitting back now.

Do Anderlecht have the energy to get back in this game?

Acheampong gets on the end of Mbodji’s header, but his effort is weak and Romero saves comfortably.

The visitors are throwing everything at United now.
