TEN GAMES PLAYED. Zero wins. 80 points for. 490 against.
That is the record of London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership this year.
They lost 78-11 against Saracens in their tenth straight league loss today.
In their ten games they have conceded 52, 53, 46, 46, 52, 23, 71, 26, 43 and 78 points.
The closest they have come to winning a game was a 20-point loss to Newcastle.
They also earned this distinction for the nuclear apocalypse that has been their league season so far.
The reaction to Welsh’s abject performances haven’t exactly been kind either.
It makes you wonder how on earth Andy Robinson’s Bristol failed to beat Welsh in the promotion playoff. Bristol had invested in their squad and were actually prepared to make a go of it in the Premiership. Only they forgot to turn up in the playoff…
London Welsh should play Treviso in a ‘Loser leaves top flight rugby’ match so at least fans of one league can be rid of so many non-contests.
Are London Welsh the worst team in the history of top flight rugby?
