Look who’s back: Tevez returns to City

Manchester City’s prodigal son is training with his team-mates this morning despite vowing never to return this summer.

DON’T YOU JUST HATE your first day back at work after the summer holidays?

Carlos Tevez was chauffeured into that reality this morning as he arrived at Manchester City’s training ground.

The Argentina striker rocked up  to Carrington as a passenger in a black Hummer, exchanged an embrace with the facility’s security guard and then clocked in for the coming season.

Manager Roberto Mancini  last week spoke to Tevez for the first time all summer, saying ‘his phone works again’.

In June, Tevez told a chat show on Argentinian television that he would not return to Manchester ever – ‘not even for a vacation’ – and complained about the weather.

A mooted move to Brazilian side Corinthians fell through last month.
