Senior players confront Louis van Gaal over 'hardline' training techniques - reports

Reports this morning indicate all is not well in Old Trafford.

A NUMBER OF senior Manchester United players are said to have confronted manager Louis van Gaal over his hardline training techniques according to reports this morning.

The Dutch boss is famous for sticking rigidly to his own methods and has already fined Marcos Rojo for missing a pre-season trip to the US while his public spat with Victor Valdes is well documented.

Now, according to The Times (£), the former Dutch national coach is said to have been approached by a group of senior Manchester United players several weeks ago following discussions within the dressing room.

Among the concerns expressed include a lack of creativity and flexibility in training, something the players feel has had an impact on their indifferent start to the new season.

United have taken seven points from four games and host Liverpool at Old Trafford this weekend.
