
MARTIN CASTROGIOVANNI HAS been ordered to pay €10,000 to charity for the rant in which he called Leicester Tigers’ Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill a “cunt”.
The big prop was also handed a four-match suspended ban after pleading guilty to misconduct at an EPCR hearing on Wednesday.
Castrogiovanni, who spent seven seasons at Leicester before leaving for Toulon, raged against Cockerill following the sides’ clash earlier this month.
“I never want to speak with Cockers any more,” he said before explaining:
“If I hate you, I say in your face and I will never speak to you again. Love me or hate me. I don’t hate anyone. Peace and love. I just don’t like cunts.”
The Italian’s colourful comments immediately made headlines and even sparked a spin-off clothing line.

But European rugby bosses took a dim view of the vulgar turn of phrase and immediately charged him with misconduct.
“The comments made were utterly indefensible,” the EPCR said in a statement.
