Cillian O’Connor gets on to the break from a long delivery and rifles a left-foot shot to net before his brother Diarmuid gets in on the scoring act as he taps over a point.

Second goal for Mayo!

Terrible start by Sligo. Diarmaid O’Connor points again and Mayo are nine clear already.

That second goal for Mayo was crashed home by Seamus O’Shea.

Mayo 2-4 Sligo 0-1
Cillian O’Connor converts another free after Aidan O’Shea is fouled. Sligo do get some respite through a Niall Murphy point.

So this game looks to be done. Aidan O’Shea fires home Mayo’s third goal moments after Jason Doherty bags a point. Adrian Marren hits a point in response for Sligo but that’s now a 12-point lead that the reigning Connacht champions now possess.

Cian Breheny points for Sligo to cut the deficit momentarily but Diarmuid O’Connor shows the ingenuity to point at the other end with the ball rolling on the ground.

Sligo’s misery continues with Aidan O’Shea from play twice and Cillian O’Connor from a free hitting points.

Mayo 5-17 Sligo 1-8
Aidan O’Shea completes his hat-trick! Great creative play from Cillian O’Connor to create the chance and this has been an absolute hammering by Mayo. They’re 21 points clear.

Mayo 6-17 Sligo 1-8
A sixth goal for Mayo. It’s just far too easy for them as Aidan O’Shea is again the target man with Cillian O’Connor then playing it across for Lee Keegan to play the ball to the net.

Second goal for Sligo and some respite from all the pressure they’ve been under as Pat Hughes smashes to the net.
