HONESTY MAY BE the best policy but it may have cost Lazio striker Miroslav Klose a goal on Wednesday night.

Klose seemed to have opened the scoring at the Stadio San Paolo when he flicked a corner past Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis in the fourth minute.

Replays showed that the German international used his hand to score and amid furious protests from the Napoli players, Klose appeared to admit the infringement to the referee who then reversed his decision and awarded a free-out.

Napoli went on to win the game 3-0 thanks to a brilliant hat-trick from Edinson Cavani. That won’t have made Klose feel much better in the dressing room afterwards.
