THE ULTIMATE FIGHTING Championship will crown an interim featherweight champion tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Irish mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor will be aiming to continue his remarkable rise to the top of the MMA world when he takes on American opponent Chad Mendes in the main event at UFC 189.

Many bookmakers have installed McGregor as the slight favourite, while others believe that Mendes’ calibre as an elite wrestler will pose too many problems for the Dubliner to solve.
