Paddy Barnes will fight for his first professional belt in June

Barnes returns to the ring on 17 June in Belfast.

PADDY BARNES WILL get a shot at the WBO European flyweight title in just his third fight as a professional.

Ireland’s double Olympic bronze medallist returns to the ring on 17 June in Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, promoter Frank Warren announced last night.

After taking his pro record to 2-0 with victory over Adrian Dimas Garzon last month, Barnes will take another step up to compete for his first pro belt.

World title hopeful Jamie Conlan, older brother of Michael, and Dublin’s Stephen Ormond are also due to fight on the Belfast card.
