IRISH UFC FIGHTER Paddy Holohan has been pencilled in to fight at the upcoming event in Nova Scotia, Canada.
The undefeated Dublin flyweight claimed victory over Josh Sampon on his debut in the Octagon at UFC Dublin in July and comes up against American Louis Gaudinot (6-3), ranked 13th in the division, on 4 October.
“I’m so grateful to the UFC for getting me back in the Octagon,” said 26-year-old Holohan. “I don’t care who they put in front of me or where, I’m going to put on the same performance everyone saw in Dublin.”
I didn’t even know where the fight was, but now I know it’s in Canada I’m really excited to go there and fight Louis, he’s a tough opponent plus he’s got good hair.
It promises to be a busy couple of weeks for the SBG team and coach John Kavanagh as Conor McGregor fights in Las Vegas on 27 September while Gunnar Nelson and Cathal Pendred are both in action on the Stockholm card on the same night as Holohan’s bout.
“The whole SBG team have fights lined up now and the atmosphere in the gym in buzzing,” he added. “I’ll be cheering on Conor the weekend before and I’ll definitely be watching Cathal and Gunnar from my dressing room as they fight in Stockholm on the same night.”
