A LIFE-SIZED bronze statue of the late Paídí Ó Sé was today unveiled by family and friends outside the Kerry legend’s pub in Ventry.
On what would have been Ó Sé’s 60th birthday, hundreds gathered at Ard a’Bhóthair at the memorial.
Mick O’Dwyer was on hand to pull the Kerry colours to unveil the statue, which is located beside a plaque outlining his many achievements as a player and manager.
The statue, which is the work of sculptor Seamus Connolly, will ensure Ó Sé’s legacy will live on for generations to come.
Ó Sé passed away suddenly in December 2012 at the age of 57.
