Patrice Evra banned from European football until next season for head kick

The defender also picked up a €10,000 fine.

MARSEILLE DEFENDER PATRICE Evra has been banned from matches in Uefa competitions until 30 June, 2018 after kicking one of his own supporters in the head.

Evra will also receive a €10,000 fine for the incident which occurred before a Europa League match.

The 36-year-old was suspended by the French club in the immediate aftermath of the attack and was set for showdown talks with Marseille bosses this week.

It is believed that Marseille supporters had been verbally abusing the defender during the warm-up for the Europa League match with Vitoria.
