Cork's Patrick Cronin: 'I can't believe the talk that we'll have an easy day out'

Cork’s captain is wary of the challenge that lies ahead next Sunday.

CORK ARE OVERWHELMING favorites to survive their first Munster hurling challenge of the year on Sunday.

They’re rated at 1/3 to get the better of injury-hit Waterford in Semple Stadium but captain Patrick Cronin isn’t buying the theory that it’ll be an easy day out.

“I can’t believe the talk that we’ll have an easy day out,” insists the Cronin. “It’s not going to be like that.”

Waterford’s Stephen Daniels admits that the county are in ‘a period of transition’ at the moment following the retirements of long-serving players and their attempts to bring through the stars from last year’s All-Ireland minor winning side.
