Shocking Arsenal defending allows Crouch to score after 19 seconds

The Gunners lost 3-2 to Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.

STOKE WERE 3-2 winners at home to Arsenal this afternoon.

Gunners defender Calum Chambers failed to deal with a cross after just 19 seconds and the former England striker Peter Crouch had the easiest of tasks to sidefoot home.

On 35 minutes, on-loan Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic doubled the Potters’ advantage by volleying hom a Jon Walters cross. Ireland international Walters then added a third before half-time.

Bojan had a goal disallowed in the second half before Santi Cazorla pulled one back from the spot and Aaron Ramsey made sure of a frantic finish by scoring their second with 18 minutes left.

Arsenal had to play the closing minutes of the game with 10 men after Chambers was shown a second yellow card and it ended in a victory for Mark Hughes’ side.
