Q&A: Fowler, Cole and Parlour give their Premier League predictions

We sit down for a quick fire round with the three former players.

1. How many teams can realistically win the title this season?

Fowler: The current top four.

Cole: Three.

Parlour: Three.

2. Which clubs are they?

Fowler: City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Cole: Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea.

Parlour: Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea.

3. If you had to pick one right now, who would you back to be champions?

Fowler: Man City, despite their loss to Chelsea.

Cole: Man City.

Parlour: Man City.

4. Did Jose Mourinho show he’s the best manager in the country last week against Man City?

Fowler: He’s certainly up there. Jose’s a very clever manager.

Cole: Maybe, only time will tell.

Parlour: Yes.

5. Who has been the Premier League’s best player so far this season?

Fowler: A certain Mr Suarez.

Cole: Suarez.

Parlour: Suarez.

6. Can you look beyond him for top scorer?

Fowler: Aguero could challenge if he stays fit but it’s hard to see past Suarez.

Cole: No.

Parlour: No.

7. Will Manchester United finish in the top four?

Fowler: It will be difficult.

Cole: Fingers crossed.

Parlour: No.

8. Which manager will the next to be sacked/resign?

Fowler: Tough to call but results are helping Rene Meulensteen.

Cole: I don’t know.

Parlour: Fulham.

9. Which three clubs would you back to be relegated?

Fowler: All the bottom half could potentially go down. Any two from eight with Fulham.

Cole: I’m not sure.

Parlour: Fulham, Cardiff, and Crystal Palace.

10. Who did the best business in the January window?

Fowler: Probably Chelsea. Matic could have a big say in where the title ends up.

Cole: Chelsea.

Parlour: Chelsea.

11. And who will be left to regret not signing more/better players?

Fowler: You could look at both Arsenal and Liverpool. Both potential champions who failed to make their squads stronger last month.

Cole: Arsenal and Liverpool

Parlour: Arsenal.
