Carty's cross-field kick for Connacht and the rest of the weekend's Pro12 action

The western province were flying the flag as Ireland’s only winners at the weekend.

IRELAND’S FOUR PROVINCES went out in the opening weekend of the new Guinness Pro12 and scored 10 tries, earned nine points but only one solitary win.

The victors were Connacht and the western province sit third after one round of games after an eventful encounter against the Dragons at the Sportsground.

Watch out for Jack Carty’s pin-point cross-field kick that resulted in that brilliant image of Danie Poolman flying towards the corner flag.
