QUADE COOPER GAVE a sublime demonstration of his attacking ability for the Wallabies in Saturday’s 30-26 win over Wales in Cardiff, repaying coach Ewen McKenzie’s ongoing faith in the mercurial playmaker. The Reds out-half received his 50th international cap in the changing rooms of the Millenium Stadium afterwards, paying tribute to those who have stuck by him.
The 25-year-old has received his fair share of negative press – sometimes warranted – but now appears to be working hard at keeping his head down and improving as a player.
His classy speech after accepting the landmark cap was a nice touch and might serve as notice to the likes of James O’Connor and Kurtley Beale as they look to make their way back into Wallabies contention.
