RYANAIR CHIEF MICHAEL O’Leary donated €200,000 to the recovery fund for JT McNamara recently. But this is just as impressive.

2FM DJ Hector Ó hEochagáin tweeted this picture of a letter he received this morning from a listener to his show, and the €100 enclosed within.

“Sorry it’s not much, but I’m unemployed and just about meeting my mortgage,” the letter reads.

Irish amateur jockey McNamara was left paralysed when he fell from Galaxy Rock, in the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. He was airlifted to Frenchbay Hospital in Bristol, where he has been since.
