Liverpool in control as Sterling, Gerrard and Moreno strike

Brendan Rodgers’ side have won 3-0 against Spurs at White Hart Lane.

LIVERPOOL HAVE BEATEN Tottenham 3-0 in their Premier League clash at White Hart Lane thanks to an early strike from Raheem Sterling, a second-half penalty from Steven Gerrard and a classy individual goal from Alberto Moreno.

19-year-old Sterling kept his cool to finish from close range in the 7th minute after being teed up by Jordan Henderson, who had taken a clever pass from Daniel Sturridge inside the Spurs box.

Shortly after half time, Brendan Rodgers’ side doubled their advantage when Gerrard tucked away his penalty following a foul on Joe Allen.

22-year-old left back Alberto Moreno made it three before the hour mark, finishing to Hugo Lloris’ left after a surging run and scoring his first Liverpool goal in doing so.
