Sergio Ramos does a Steven Gerrard as Real's La Liga hopes end

Atletico Madrid could wrap up the league race if results go their way this evening.

ATLETICO MADRID MUST avoid defeat away to Barcelona next week following a 1-1 draw with Malaga but Real Madrid are officially out of the title race.

Atletico drew 1-1 with Malaga after Toby Alderweireld scored to cancel out a Samu goal. Real Madrid had an outside chance of claiming the title but lost 2-0 Celta Vigo after Charles profited two defensive errors.

A Sergio Ramos stumblestumble, followed by the cool, finish was reminiscent of Steven Gerrard’s slip that led to a Demba Ba goal in Chelsea’s win over Liverpool last month. Xabi Alonso then under-hit a back-pass to Diego Lopez and Charles, once again, was on hand to slot home.
