Remember the striker with the "Amy Winehouse" celebration? He's back

His name is Marcello Matrone, and this time, he’s paying tribute to Shakira.

A COUPLE OF weeks ago, we brought you the tale of Marcello Matrone, a Brazilian striker in the Finnish third division with a penchant for unusual celebrations.

Back then, it was a tribute to the recently deceased Amy Winehouse which caught our attention.

This time around, Marcello and his team-mates decided to dress up as Shakira and her backing dancers for a spot of ‘Waka Waka,’ the official anthem of last year’s FIFA World Cup.

The attention to detail is remarkable — wigs, sarongs, even a certain Barcelona centre-half.

For reference, HIK won the game 2-0, but if you think that’s the important part of this story, you’ve probably missed the point.
