Romeo from Home and Away heading for Kilkenny, will judge 'Most Appropriately Dressed Lady'

Luke Mitchell has been drafted in as a judge at Kilkenny’s Gowran Park.

HE’S MORE USED TO sipping milkshakes at the diner than slugging pints in Langtons, but Summer Bay heartthrob Romeo is set to land in the Marble City in the coming weeks.

Aussie actor Luke Mitchell has been drafted in for the inaugural Kilkenny Senior Hurlers Family Race Day on 9 April at Gowran Park Race Course, organisers confirmed today.

Mitchell — who plays a surf instructor on the popular soap — will assist the wives of hurlers Henry Shefflin and Noel Hickey, as they select ‘Paul’s Most Appropriately Dressed Lady’.

“We’re thrilled to have Luke Mitchell join Deirdre Shefflin and Elaine Hickey as our judges for the Pauls Most Appropriately Dressed Lady and already there’s great excitement amongst female customers about the prospect of meeting him”, says Moira Fulton, Director, Paul’s Kilkenny.

If he wants tips on hurling before he lands on Noreside, Mitchell might do worse than ask ‘Brax’ who seemed to get into the swing of things during his trip to Ireland some months ago.
